everyone knows the saying...

red sky in morning, sailor's warning
and it's partner
red sky at night, sailor's delight

(with some regional variation, e.g. replace sailor with shepherd)

however - what this particular piece of canned wisdom fails to assist with is when on the same day, you experience both a red sky in the morning AND a red sky at night

red sky in morning and night, sailor's advised to pack up and go home?
