Male Chaffinch

Backblip

I watched this Chaffinch for quite a while. He and Mrs Chaffinch seem to have found their place at the Alpaca yard in the park. While the bigger animals feed on straw, the little fellow pick up any grains that fall down. It seems to be a perfect arangement. As always, I'm awed by the camouflage of the birds, and by their instinct that draws them to the type of terrain where they become almost invisible.
