Weeper
One of the 16 C weepers decorating a tomb at Jerpoint abbey. These little figures were the official mourners of the deceased though they look quite jolly. usually they were saints/martyrs and can be identified by their accoutrements - but I don't know who this chap is - his plaited staff is the clue, a spot of research i needed. Anyway, I love his snazzy beard and little toes peeping out from his gown.
