New books

Today I went up to a couple of schools to do some follow-up work, and to let them know that they won't be seeing me for a while, as I'm away for just over 3 weeks from Friday.

I took these books up to Koh Klun School, I'd ordered them a while ago, but we've been really busy in the office, so we've only just round to backing them so that they were ready to give to the school. These children are members of the Student Council, and they're pictured with Mr. Supeth, the School Director.

The children were really happy with them, and they're doing a great job of running the library. It looks fantastic now, and the Student Council really look after it. It's been a bit of an Education Team effort to get to this stage, and it's really paid off. When I arrived there were only about 38 books, and there was no furniture. Now there are shelves, and over 200 books, and a rota has been devised for classes to use the library regularly as part of their lessons.

The children started reading the new books straight away, and the children at this school now seem to really enjoy reading, which is exactly what we wanted to happen, so I'm very pleased.
