"The first blossom of springtime"

A second successful dancing display today by wee C and her friends (although during their Jai Ho number, wee C decided to 'readjust' her leotard around her groin area - I'm sure she gave a fair few of the audience a good giggle), although reports from today's chief dresser indicated that the girls were a little more hyper backstage than yesterday... Glad I did the dressing yesterday then!! :-)

Afterwards, the sun came out to play and back at home wee C and wee D had a good run around in the garden to burn off excess energy and get some fresh air. Wee C noticed that the blossom on the ornamental cherry tree had finally bloomed and exclaimed "Look mum, it's the first blossom of springtime!". I didn't have the heart to tell her that it was only the first blossom in OUR garden - lots of other people have had blossom in their gardens for ages!!
