Wild in the country

Oxfordshire grandeur.

I've been away for the weekend, staying at the wonderful Charney Manor, in Charney Bassett, Oxfordshire. It is owned by British Quakers, and I have been one of the facilitators on a weekend for enquirers, people who may or may not have encountered Quakers before and would like to find out something about them, and meet some real ones. A lovely time was had by all.
The manor is well used by a variety of groups, and this front view has been featured by another blipper a few weeks ago. I'm doing it again so that I can boast of my luxury billet in the main bedroom on the right on the first floor - I know I'm getting special privileges, and most appreciate it.
The village itself is very pretty, but somewhat lacking in shops, and one pub that doesn't sell cigarettes. Nor are there any street lights - pitch dark after sunset. Such conservationism doesn't apparently apply to plastic garden furniture. Mustn't complain.
