Green(ish) shoots

This might be my favourite plant ever

Cardoon.I grew the ones in the garden from seed and they're quite hard to get to germinate.

It requires some fridge action and patience.

Today I was in the garden for the whole afternoon, planted out some things I'd had in pots in an attempt to make the garden look a bit more ordered, cleared out loads of bindweed roots in the process and finished up by having a bit of a tidy of the front garden

I've had to stop now, achey back, creaky knees and the sun's gone down and it's chilly.

But I love the shape of cardoon's leaves.

That's what I started out to say.
