SWANNING ABOUT

To Southport today to see a Lesser Scaup. Saw it and got a very poor photograph of it. Also a Merlin, first Chiffchaff of the Spring, and the Avocets are back. A lovely warm sunny day and a good wander in the fresh air.

Home in time for a quick walk round the garden. G had hoed it yesterday while I was laid up. It seems he mistook my lovely Aquilegas for weeds. I am now off to burn his dinner.
