Ancient Anatomy
One of our laboratory prep guys saved this huge paper mache model of horse anatomy when the Animal Science department was getting rid of it. Anatomy is taught virtually now with computers and simulations to complement actual dissections. Large multi piece paper mache models that take up the size of a real horse, not so much in demand anymore. We don't know when this piece was created, but the notations on the various muscles are in French. The paper horse now sits in a display window that talks about the evolution of the horse. I blacked out the background to make it look more like those human dissections that have been on display around the world as of late, which I went to see in NYC.
