Promotion

It's bit of a busman's holiday, but at the weekends I coach, manage, nag and harangue my son's football team.

Over the last few seasons, we have run the whole gamut of emotions; from depair and disappointment through to despondency and desperation. But something funny has happened this season. I suspect we have suffered a significant decline in the standard of opposition, because we have started to win. In fact we appear to have won quite a lot.

Today's blip is therefore an attempted capture of the shock and surprise joy and happiness on the faces of my team as we secure second place and promotion.
