Park bench

Yesterday's tummy bug carried over to today, putting me off my food until well into the evening. Listening to music into the early hours of the morning meant sleep was limited too, but still there was no way I was going to miss the glorious weather, so the camera and I wended our merry ways back to St Anne's Park, looking very different indeed compared with yesterday's dull mistiness -- glorious bright sunshine, bright blue sky, even a touch of warmth until the breeze arrived. I spent most of the time in and around the Rose Garden, where Winter still stubbornly made its presence felt, but also joined the strollers and dog-walkers who'd been enticed out by the sun and were making the most of the parkland amenities. A flock of geese even dropped in for a couple of fly-pasts.

All in all, I spent a pleasant and reviving hour or so enjoying the fresh air. When I got back and transferred the photos I was unsure whether to blip the one I've chosen or use this pergola instead, but isn't it great to have a choice to make at all, unlike other fallow days when I'd be lucky to get even a single shot in the can, and often not even a good one at that.

Time now to grab a bite to eat, download and listen to some more newly-discovered music, and hopefully get to bed at a sensible hour, read more Hornblower, and get a good night's sleep, ready for what is shaping up to be a busy work day tomorrow. The sunny and mild weather is forecast to continue until Wednesday, so hopefully I'll also manage to take advantage of some of it at least.

==========

I've back-posted something for yesterday for anyone who cares to have a look.
