Tiny Woodland Flowers

Today was my daughter's birthday. I wasn't able to be with her, but the sun came out for the first time in weeks, and I went for a hike in the forest with my other daughter who visited briefly. I took lots of photos, but I liked this one the best. These are the tiniest little blue bell type flowers, just right for fairy babies.

While walking around the lake, the temperature dropped drastically, and we decided to head back to the car. We were out of the woods and still quite a way from the car when the hail started. It went from warm to freezing within seconds.

This year, the weather has been unusually rainy and dark. I'm beginning to understand why ancient cultures worshipped the sun!
