Wyre Iron

I went to Wyre for the first time. It's a pretty small island and I just hadn't got tound to visiting it before.I headed west from the pier to the Bay of Whelkmulli and around The Taing to the Point of Nichol's Croo and the Bay of Bergeben. I had a coffee break at the Bay of Stromnesstaing, then carried on past various other colourfully named points too many to mention to the pier again. I had time to visit Cubbie Roo's Castle, but there isn't much left.

There were quite a few old iron bits around. I think that because the island had to do without a pier for a long time they had to use wagons called 'druggers' to offload coal etc from boats and the wagons are scattered along the coast.
