Tony looks on while we work!
Tony (after the DJ Tony Blackburn) stands on an adjacent allotment and looks on as we dig one more patch of ground and clear some of the nettles from the wildlife area under the blackcurrant bushes. He has survived the winter and is looking pretty good despite the raging winds and biting snow and frosts that we've had this winter. He has featured on blipfoto before, back in October last year (spot the difference), which was soon after I first began blipping. As you can see, it was a fairly grey day then too.
Well what a difference a day makes! After the sunshine and warmth of the last week today has been grey with a cold wind blowing from the North East. Still things are growing away nicely, with blackcurrant bushes shooting and the rhubarb emerging from winter dormancy.
Looking forward to some more sun tomorrow. I hope the forecast is right.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
