No Mozzies

The mosquitoes seemed to have taken the night off tonight. Well, there were a few of them but not enough to be a bother.
J, L and I chopped down some wilding pine trees on the newly-bought block of land near Charleston. The trees were a little larger and more "limbed" than extpected so instead of chopping down about twenty, we had to make to with three. Plus a lot of cleaning up.

Next time I will limb them first, then drop the trunks. It was amazing how much light was let in when we got rid of just three of those pesky pines. Hopefully the native bush will come back sooner.

I resisted the urge to get on the road to Nelson and instead spent an enjoyable evening talking to friends and not getting shaken by earthquakes. Bonus.
