Love is Just a Bloodsport

Sneaker Pimps lyric wins today for the title since "Bloodsport" was one of the songs playing in the Florence + the Machine SmartDJ Zune mix while I danced and flailed and whatnot to get the set of photos from which this beauty hails.

I have an ambivalent attitude toward my nose, but I don't think any of these photos turned out too shabby, though many an unfortunate degree of off-center and out-of-frame. Ah well. To be continued, then!

I've been wanting to start shooting some of my self-portraits in a style inspired by the self-portrait series of one of my Flickr contacts so today I thought I'd give it a go. I'm mildly impressed with this result. Years of childhood ballet and more years of tinkering with modern choreography, and here we are.

Looked up Wikipedia entry on Bloodsport - think cockfighting and other animal vs. animal violence, usually resulting in death for one party. Yup. Now I'm in a bad mood. Out-of-whack world we live in.
