Super Soup Lunch

When we were out for a walk yesterday, my friend and I noticed that the cafe at the local church were holding a Super Soup Lunch for Christian Aid today. So, we resolved to boycott the pub today and go for soup instead.

The little cafe is at the back of the church and was quite busy when we arrived. The picture shows my tomato, pepper and pesto soup. It was very good and made a change from home-made sandwiches. We should probably visit the cafe more often - there's not a lot to do over lunch times in our neck of the woods.

Managed to get home in time for a walk by the river and on to the pub for a quick beer before it got completely dark. Saw our first bats of the year dashing around the tree tops out looking for food.
