A glimpse of the sun upon my eyes
Leads my mind to realize
That I've covered in a single glance
A ninety-three million mile expanse

If Earth were closer to the blazing sun
The hothouse effect would render life done
And yet if the distance greater would be
No liquid water would our planet see

Yet water, essential for life to exist
Abundantly flows by which all things consist
So recognize, value and hold high the worth
Of this wonderful world that we call the Earth.
