Drumming already

We'd been at grandma and grandad's house less than 5 minutes and grandad said, "shall we find some drums?"

The backblips begin. Apologies for the absence! I have been up in Manchester with Ben while Steve works on the bathroom floor - I didn't fancy not having a toilet for a few days.

After yesterday missing out on our fish and chip picnic, we had a fish and chip lunch today. Steve went out for food while Ben "helped" pack our suitcase. I only managed to forget night nappies and my phone charger. Oh well.

Good journey - set off 2.30pm, Ben was too excited to sleep for the first 45 minutes and kept exclaiming about seeing grandma and grandad! Then the noise stopped and the snoring started and he slept 2 whole hours. Woke up on the toll road just in time for a wee / nappy stop and to dig out my wallet for the toll stations, and then chattered the rest of the way up to Manchester!

Of course, as grandad had got him drumming as soon as we got there he wasn't interested in eating much for dinner. And he wasn't interested much in going to bed either, so I went off and enjoyed a shower - and came down to find them watching a Kodo drummers DVD!!! Before bedtime!!!! Aaargh.

At midnight I finally managed to peel myself away from Benjamin who had finally dropped off, and went and found some supper and had a cuddle with Maisy, one of the cats. I think she thought I might feed her. Sorry Maisy.
