The sticky bud

I've posted various signs of spring, but my favourite image of resurrection is the bud on the horse chestnut. Such a wonderful broad leaf breaking out of such a little bud, and a sticky bud at that. I love these, perhaps because my mother always does, and loves to have them in the house for Easter.
