Sacrifice

He had three kids, my friend Uttam, and this is his last son with his beloved mother, in the middle of a session of his family portraits by the river bank in the golden hours of the setting sun, the perfect time previously reserved for a self portrait for the 200th blip after well planning with Amu.

Me and Amu are covering an awareness programme on intellectual property rights since morning at Hotel Classic which ended just in time for the previously planned sp. But then, Uttam, my friend of yore, had also planned for a photosession of his family and given me the honour to execute the task. We never expect it to be a long one and hoped it'll be some indoor shot with the lights. But surprise, they wanted it taken on location and wanted it to be very special because they have no earlier records of photographs for their family ever since the advent of their first son who's now about 12!

Amu and me looked at each other! However, give my friend and his family the very best I can muster from natural light and also a mix of natural and artificial light in the golden hours of the setting sun!

Amu suggested on an SP with the lights on return by then. But then, had to cover the prize distribution function of the Yaoshang Sports which lasted for many hours till late in the night!

Thus, the phrase by a fellow blipper WORK DISTURBING BLIP is gettin' more 'n more compounded in the end by the way things work out lately viz. the drastic depletion in sharing time with all of you, my friends- whom fortunately are very understandable! But will it last forever? No, nothing last forever and we'll be on our smooth journey together once again!

Thank you, my friends, for the precious time, you've spared for your friends and the support you've given to each other by way of the inspirations, insights, analysis, sometimes constructive criticisms, appreciations including the gifting of blip membership mostly anonymously (lucky, I got one from someone not anonymous - one of the elixirs of blip - LauriFrance)! And my special thanks go to the blip founders and blipfoto staff without whom we won't be where we are now!
