Mommy I made a picture

"Mommy I drew you! Look mommy...."

Erik's voice ran through our living room. He waltzes into the kitchen a smile spread across his face. I'm cleaning up from a dinner party and Erik's voice breaks threw the dishes clanking to be cleaned.
Joy. A moment of joy. His delight in the drawing. His delight in showing his mommy. "Look mommy I drew you!"
