But, I though it was quite thought provoking.

This message was pinned to the railings at Lancaster Univerity, I had a lecture today where we were discussing the upcoming postgraduate conference, where all the Ma students have to deliver a paper on an aspect of english literature. By now we are expected to have the knowledge and skills to not only understand english literature, but to contribute to the wider knowledge of contemporary english literature

Education is giving me knowledge and knowledge is giving me education.

And its changing my entire outlook on life, making me into the type of person who takes action; who will shout about a cinema being closed down on TV and the radio, and go out in social situations (I chose.to read for a living for a reason, it's a solitary pastime) I write to MPs and sign petitions and talk politics with people (despite being told by my nana necer to discuss politics or religion with people).


So its a crap shot, but a message that has had me thinking about it since I saw it.
