Making Sacrifices

I threw nearly £60 of Elbow tickets away today. It pretty much made me weep. I'd been so looking forward to it, but, when the evening came, despite having all my stuff in the car and so on, I was simply too tired to go.

So, I sacrificed what would have been an amazing night out to spend my days with teenagers and get up at stupid o'clock in the morning.

And after a pretty horrendous afternoon too!

One of my favourite sayings:
"Sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you get what you need, sometimes you get what you get"

It'll be worth it in the long run...

Well, that's what I keep telling myself anyway...
