Birthday Boy

T'was the lodger's birthday yesterday so we took him bowling, bought him a burger and some beers (that last bit is the only difference from taking a small child out, now I think about it ...). Anyway, when we got home, we unveiled the birthday cake we made at the weekend, and no, we couldn't get any more chocolate into it if we'd tried, which we did. Here is Ian in the various stages of dismembering the cake, with considerable effort, going by the middle photo.

For those of a curious disposition, it was a landmark birthday. He's trying to persuade people that it's 50. But it isn't. Nuff said.
