I suppose the alternative is that this plant is the equivalent of a cross-species singles bar :o There were bugs and wee beasties hanging out on pretty much every leaf, enjoying the warmth of the sun.

Scenario 3 - like the cat and the dog (or the kids sometimes) they are completely ignoring each other, pretending not to notice that they have to share the space.

Is there such a thing as personal space when you are a bug?

I do like the spring, I am hoping for a lot more bug shots this year
