The Portage

I ride my bike to work (12K) and the most direct route is through a massive (no, I mean, massive) graveyard that is about halfway to work. I have to carry my bike down these steps (and 'up' when I go home). And so it's always my stopping point (wipe my eyes, blow my nose) time in the cold morning...bike riders will understand what I'm talking about. This 'portage' site is one of the few places in the city where you can see so far without buildings blocking the way. It looks different every time I stop. Just a nice view in the morning.
