All but gone

It hit me hard today and I wanted to record the moment: Hit me hard that the baby in her is no more (save for the nappies) and she's becoming a proper little girl. Other people have noticed it gradually happening over the past month or so but not me, not until today when it went WHAM-BAM at teatime and flooded me with feelings of happiness and sadness all rolled into one.

That seems like such a long time ago now, like another world.
