Doorway to Where?

I didn't know what to blip today. My hundredth blip should be something....different maybe. But I just couldn't think, then I remembered something that MrsC asked back in January. She had been looking back through my journal and asked me "do you mean to include so many doorways and arches or is it subconscious?" I have spent a lot of time contemplating this question. I like architecture and possibly doors and arches are the most ornate part of a building, they are aesthetically pleasing, but I don't think that is the only reason.

One thing I did come up with was the excitement of not knowing what lies behind the door, what you may be about discover, the feeling I had when I went to explore a house in February which was like discovering a time capsule, the feeling I get when I go urbexing. Doors are an entry into the unknown, an opportunity to discover things.... an entry to a whole new world: new things to explore...

So I ended up thinking that a door was quite apt for a new century of blipping, more things to explore and experience. I'd like to send a big thank you to Dawn for introducing me to blip, to everyone for all the comments and support in the last hundred blips and to everyone behind the scenes at blip.

So here we go through the doorway and on to the next hundred.
