A dodgy Wagtail

Unfortunately I learnt to my peril today the danger of leaving it to the last minute! I saw this Wagtail outside my daughters nursery and grabbed a couple of shots of it but when I got home they turned out to be pretty poor so I thought to myself that I would have a go at a moon shot later on instead.

Now I appreciate I am going to sound a little odd with the next bit so bear with me.........

But the moon had vanished! It was a clear night but the moon had gone! I know it sounds very odd but we looked where it normally is (up) and it was not there at all! It was there the night before! When my boyfriend got home last night he could see it from his house so where it went I have no idea!
