Sunflower, or Beanstalk?!

Sammy the SUnflowe may have been a slow starter, but look at him now! We've had to stick a ...well, stick in to help him not go floppy (fnar) - and yes, that is embroidery floss that's tieing him to it.
Not sure Alan Titschmarsh would approve, but it seems to be working, so it'll do for me.
