Night Lights

NIGHT LIGHTS...shine out,
Upon the hill.
Far in the distance,
They wait until.

Morning blots the vastness,
Like etchings on a page.
Of buildings...built in splendor,
There among the sage.

Where people live in grandeur,
Looking down to see.
The far stretch of the valley,
In its immensity.

All mounted on the hillside,
Upon our gazing eyes.
They trace the upland gullies,
And make them..mansion size.

To dazzle in the darkness,
Where acres lap to fill.
Like diamonds in adornment,
That cover up the hill.
