said hello to spring (herbs).

Today was the herb festival at the botanic garden. Luckily I was finally feeling well enough to actually do something outdoors. I volunteered to drive the parking shuttle carting people to and from the overflow parking lot. It was fun, and I got to talk to people all day, but by the end I was exhausted. I did managed to score a nice lemon verbena and lemon balm plant to take home for making hot tea.

This white trumpet flower is in bloom at the gardens right now. You cant really tell from this photo how big these flowers are, but they are easily the size of my head, and they are completely covering this whole bush. It really screams "Spring is here!".
