A voyage to the grave

This morning I came up onto the Flight Deck of the ship that I am currently working on. I had just been doing a pre inspection of the Integrated Bridge system (Navigation Equipment)

To my amazement and some what saddened I saw my old ship HMS Invincible being towed out of the basin into the lock in preparation for her last ever voyage abroad to be scrapped.

This is the first time she has moved in approximately. 4 years.

It seems such a shame when you think how many miles she has traveled around the world how many air sorties that have been flown from her flight deck. and how many people she has been home to over her long distinguished service.
