Bufflehead (bucephala albeola),male.

a.k.a "spirit duck". he's a diving duck, doesn't care for bread. serene and cute when he floats, very aggressive when the mood takes him. very shy, spots your approach to the shore from many many yards away and dives or paddles away to a safe distance. native to the arctic, he winters here on the southern great lakes. got lucky to find him in a narrow inlet.
