Learned skeleton

I went to Blackwells today to find out if the book I'm reading really should have pages from another novel inserted randomly throughout, meaning that some crucial pages of the novel were missing.

Is it just a very post-modern book that I don't really understand, or was there a publishing cock-up?

It turns out it was the latter, which is reassuring because I was struggling to
fit the two stories together. So I now have a new copy of the Lacuna, hooray!

Blackwells is hosting a production of Dr Faustus at the moment which I saw a few weeks ago. During the day they have this learned skeleton sitting on the stage. Brilliant!
