Return of the Orange Hat
Welcome back to Mr. Orange Hat Head.
I decided it was too hot for the helmet; time for some wind-in your-hair sensations.
Yesterday's snow showers gave us great fresh snow in Tignes, and despite the rising temperatures we skied excellent creamy powder all morning.
The Rosolin was so tempting that I went and skied it a couple more times on my own (it's pretty much flat; well, very gentle at the most, so no danger of slides). There were acres of untracked snow out there and it was a real luxury to have it pretty much all to myself - you need 'skins' to walk out with and most people don't carry them. On the second rotation I just kept on going (a couple of people had been down before me and walked out), down to the left under the Grande Motte, ending next to the big cliffs which I guess are the south side of Pramcou, and with magnificent views of the Casse. It was very atmospheric.
I was well pleased with my solo squiggly track and was half tempted to post it here, but this photo of me heading to Wayne's Shoulder is much more interesting.
