A new day dawns....

By Nicdawncav

An ordinary day.

I am 100% the "point and click" type of blipper and whilst my life consists of driving to work, being at work or looking after two young boys I can't see me progressing from that status for some time to come! Today we walked the 10 minutes from our house to our local beach and, despite not being able to take more than 1 second to plan a shot, I snapped what I could when the opportunity arose.

We are so lucky to be able to walk to the sea from where we live. Although I miss London greatly, I am incredibly grateful for the beautiful environment in which we are now raising our boys. Four years ago a 10 minute walk would have taken us to the nearest tube station, now we have the Aegean Sea on our doorstep. It's particularly lovely at this time of year before the seafront is invaded and conquered by the "all inclusive" holiday makers. Once they arrive we become the unwelcome intruders.

So, now is the time to enjoy our local beach. The weather is starting to settle into pleasant sunny days and we have until May before the tourists arrive. This time of year is Turkey at it's most pleasant.

Just need to get the 2 boys in question to appreciate it now!
