Beat of a new drum

We had the unexpected pleasure of our friend Rachel, who now lives in Ghana, coming for a flying visit on Friday. She came with this fabulous drum as a gift. She got it via her children's music teacher so not only is it beautiful to look at, but it sounds fantastic. Known as a Djembe, it the drum of the Mandinka people.
