Puzzle
Life is a puzzle, isn't it? And it's not like one of those 2000-piece jigsaws you buy in a box, the ones where it's pretty obvious where the pieces go - it's like what a couple of my friends were trying to do at lunch today - piecing together a Costa Coffee label after having torn it into lots of little pieces.
It didn't take them long to get the important parts put together, the bits with the writing; but the plain pieces would have been impossible to piece together exactly as they had been, so they didn't even bother.
Sometimes in life, it's easy to know what to do when it comes to the big "important" things, because maybe we know what we're supposed to do - maybe we've planned it all out: leave school, go to uni, get married, get a job, have kids ... but often it's the little things we find difficult. How do you piece together all those little bits in the middle?
Here's a clue: there's someone who gives a fantastic example of living well in the little things and the big things alike, and you can read his story in the Bible.
