If you're from Edinburgh, then you'll know this is a pretty unusual view. It also won't be around for long, which is why I blipped it!
Taken from Rose Street, looking up towards the Royal Mile, through the gap left by the demolition works on Princes Street. By all accounts they are building a new Primark, and decided taking down the old building and putting up a brand new one was preferable... Hmmm...
I do love Ramsay Garden on Castlehill, which you can see in the background. These red roofed, white walled houses were designed in 1893 by the pioneering town planner and architect Sir Patrick Geddes. They were originally intended to accommodate students but are now very exclusive, as you can imagine. A bit noisy during the Military Tattoo mind...
