Shopping for Dinner

A bunch of students and I decided to cook dinner together tonight. So, we all headed to the market to buy the ingredients. After picking up some veggies, sauce, garlic, and ginger, we headed to the fish section of the market. It's not my favorite section, but that's where you buy fish.

These guys were still trying to breath and giving the occasional flop...the downside, you get splattered with fish water as you pick out your fish...the upside, you know they are fresh! We picked out two, then the man behind the counter asked if we wanted them dead or alive. We chose the first, and he bopped them on the head with a stick. I was glad when someone else reached out to grab the bag to carry the fish home as one was still flopping a little bit.

The few not-my-favorite minutes in front of the fish stall were definitely worth a great evening of cooking, delicious food, and playing games to top off the night.
