Community Dinner

Community Dinner is yet another fantastic tradition here at Wellesley. It's a night when the dining hall is closed except to the people who live in a specific residence hall. There's a theme and decorations, and a fancier dinner is served. Way back when, each year would have a role in the Community Dinner. For instance, sophomores would serve the upperclasswomen. Now, it's more like each dorm has their own traditions. In my dorm, the first years usually perform something for the seniors and sometimes the seniors are given a little gift or something.

This year, our theme was the Tower of London, so we had British flags hanging on the walls, blue/red streamers everywhere, crowns and necklaces to adorn the royalty attending dinner, and British themed coloring pages to entertain us during dinner :) Dinner was okay, but the traditional dessert of peppermint stick pie was delicious! Highlight of the night was definitely the first-years' dorm-themed song set to the Spice Girls' "Wannabe".
