Mooning

Sorry for the lack of blip and progress on Maurice's capture yesterday, but I wasn't very well and frankly couldn't be bothered. Today I am back, although I don't have good news to share. Maurice is still at large - the Big Cheese did not do its job, although it did act as avery nice plate for Maurice to eat his tea off, before skipping off home to his family. Tonight, I am using a proper mousetrap (if I can figure out how to set it without taking my fingers off), courtesy of Tim who dropped a selection round this morning. Wish me luck!

I took a photo of the moon tonight. It took me ages to wait for it to rise above the trees enough to get a shot, and even now it isn't very good but I got fed up waiting. The reason I decided on this shot was because Andy had tweeted about the fact that on the 19th March, the moon was a perigee moon - meaning it would look very large as it rose over the horizon. Unfortunately, this moon was a long way above the horizon by the time I read about this, and I have just now realised, as I am sure you all have, that it is in fact the 18th today, not the 19th. Whether this makes a lot of difference to the size of the moon, I don't know, but I ain't doing it again tomorrow!
