Cappuccino anyone....
Sarah, the owner ofWildfire Pottery is the potter who lives up on the North shore of the Cabot Trail....she is a woman of many and varied interests. Awhile back she started a used book section in her showroom....a few shelves appeared, and then more shelves and more and more books....her upstairs in pretty well taken over by shelves and piles of books!!!
One of the newest ventures this winter was something called Bits of Books, organized by Susan Zettell one of our local authors. Susan puts out a piece from a couple of books she thinks would be interesting for a discussion, and then a very eclectic gang of Cape Bretoners gathers in the upstairs of Sarah's pottery and drink coffee, and talk about books and any other ideas inspired by the piece! I went along today, for the first time....and it is in fact the last one for the season!!! This session was all about laughter....the 3 pieces we had read to us.....even that in itself is such a treat on a friday afternoon......had most of us laughing out loud!! It was a very lovely way to spend the afternoon.
I find myself feeling very much at home with this group of people, and i am slowly getting to know a bit more about each of them.....they are a warm and inviting group.
