challenge2011 Spring
We took Oscar for a long walk up Dunleacccain , a lovely sunny day , though windy and chilly. Anyway we had a very enjoyable walk and I got some shots for the spring challenge , daffodils and crocuses all with the obligatory raindrops from the showers earlier on in the day.
Then , sort of like Wordsworth I spotted the golden flowers, not daffodils but gorse. had to get a shot as I love the gorse flowers, have different varieties in the garden , late flowering. This was definitely a spring challenge with a capital C ! Because of the wind , I searched for a sheltered bush , found one , awkward place to get to. Got the shot , delighted. Then I tripped , fell headlong , fortunately not into the prickly bush but on to the track . Also , fortunately again , my camera and lens didn't come to any harm and I did manage to walk back home , rather slowly but I managed. John did offer to go back for the car but I reckoned I could walk out the soreness and the ankle was supported by my walking boot.
So it was definitely a case of suffering for my art. Too sore now to sit at the computer so after this upload it will be back to the sofa with my leg resting on two of those neck cushions you get for flying , works a treat. I'll catch up with all the bips tomorow or later if it gets less sore.
Supposed to be going to the football tomorrow , see no reason not to as all I'l be dong is sitting in the car then sitting at the game. I'll be the one with my foot resting on a cushion
