Wemyss Bay Station

I had some work to do out this way today and although there were various options for a blip I guess I was always going to stop here at one of my favourite photographic locations.

As I mentioned in a previous Blip the line was opened in 1865, and at that time a First Class return to Glasgow was about 3/6 (18p), and Third Class 2/- (10p).

For this picture I took two photographs and first of all processed them as single shot HDRs and then combined them as a photomerge to give the wide angle of the station and a little bit of distortion.

Thanks also to the lady in the red coat. If there is one thing that was going to help this picture it was a lady in a red coat turning up to buy a ticket!
