Salt rush

2 days ago it was Iodine tablets, yesterday and today it's salt... The nuclear crisis in Japan has some weird effects.
People in China have been hoarding salt because of its iodine content (table salt in China is iodized) that could provide some help in radiation poisoning in people's mind ... nobody ever wondered though how could you possibly swallow 500gr or more of salt and still be alive.
Salt in every shop in town is said to be disappeared, its price soared and long lines formed to buy the available stock
Crazy!
I did not believe it so I had to go and check it out... and found it was true!
My local supermarket keeps being well stocked for anything else, but the salt display was empty.
