Mystery Solved

I solved the mystery of the trail to nowhere. I found a less obvious continuation of the trail beyond the clearing, leading to this trail bike course. Hidden in the bushes a bit further on I found the tools used in the construction -- a wheelbarrow, picks and shovels, and a tamper.

About a week ago I'd met one of the neighbors heading up the hill with the tamper attached to his backpack. He told me he was going to do some trail work. I thought he meant the hiking trail.
