Waving away

This is a bit of a desperation blip.

I was out at the retail technology expo today which I thoroughly enjoyed. I bumped into several ex Tesco plus one current Tesco peeps which was nice.

Listened to a few interesting presentations. I tweeted about enjoying learning about PCI DSS which is related to standards merchants and banks etc should follow to ensure safe handling and protection of customer card data and within seconds some hacker dude started to follow me. Needless to say I am going to be blocking that particular fellow from my tweets!

I feel quite sad as in geeky that I find the whole card security and payment processing side of retail very interesting.

At the minute I am working my notice in my current job and have days where I am feeling sooo bored, then I have a day like today and I remember I am very lucky to be working in roles/ doing stuff I really enjoy.

So motivation levels up for friday morning when no doubt I'll find myself in the office at 730am-ish!
